Dr Marian Chinnock is a specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, who currently provides gynaecological services at Eternal Women’s Health. 

Marian grew up on a farm on the South coast of New South Wales. She is a Sydney University Medical graduate and completed her junior medical officer years in Wagga Wagga, NSW. It was during this time she developed a passion for Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Her initial specialist training was in Canberra with an unexpected rural term in Launceston. She greatly enjoyed that year, and ‘fell in love’ with all that Tasmania has to offer and later returned to complete her fellowship years. Marian is now a Tassie convert and has settled in Hobart with her family. 

Marian has been providing specialist Obstetric and Gynaecology services in Hobart since 2012. She is well regarded in Hobart as a reliable, kind, intelligent clinician, who has a gentle nature and cheeky giggle. As an Obstetrician she has been involved in the birth of over a thousand Tasmanian babies and has enjoyed being part of this very special time in the life of many families. 

Marian is currently focusing on providing individualised gynaecological care and has a special interest in laparoscopic surgery, abnormal cervical screening and colposcopy, vaginal surgery, menopause management and vulval disorders. She provides surgical care at Hobart Private Hospital and Calvary Hospital, Lenah Valley. 

In her spare time, Marian enjoys spending time with her family, walking their two dogs and tending to the garden and pet chickens.
